Overview & Motivation
A lightweight mobile utility that reads camera EXIF metadata and coordinates, allowing photographers to geotag, document, and map their trails with exact shooting details.
The Problem
Professional cameras lack built-in GPS logging, making it hard for landscape photographers to remember the exact location, elevation, and camera specs of a shot on a 20km trail.
The Solution
Snaps runs passively in the background, matching camera timestamps with precise GPS coordinates. It auto-imports EXIF specs and exports visual travel maps.
Creator Process
Piloted on a photography trek across Iceland. Optimized background GPS polling to ensure negligible battery impact over full-day mountain expeditions.
Design Philosophy
Minimal inputs, rich contexts. Capture metadata passively so the photographer can focus entirely on the horizon.

The Future Vision
Building an AI-driven coordinate mapping system that suggest spots based on lighting and solar angles.
